Now almost halfway through my third month of unemployment, I am finding it harder and harder to keep positive about finding a job. While it seemed to be not so bleak when I was initially laid off back in November, the situation gets worse every month. Being laid off early in a recession is no buffer if the economy rapidly unwinds. I have 18 weeks left on my unemployment insurance which will last me until November. If I don't have a job by September, I will be in official panic mode.
My daily routine consists of checking out hotjobs, craigslist, and company websites. Plus, bugging my staffing agency rep. Nothing has panned out and I am considering applying for a job at Trader Joes.
